1. Trivia fundraiser

Trivia Night -On Saturday, 25 February we had our Trivia night fundraiser at the Bomaderry Bowling Club.  So lovely to see so many past Rotarians  (Mick and Julie Ludlow and Jim and his wife were amongst Arthur and Rhonda’s guests) and present Rotarians support this event. The trivia quizmaster was Andrejs Medenis of Gerringong Rotary club who asked many interesting questions and got us all singing along to the music.

The fun games in between the eight rounds of trivia included the longest orange peel, heads and tails and the treasure hunt. There was a silent auction of items and also a live auction which was ably managed by Jason Cox who was also the MC for the night telling some of his “dad” jokes!

 Lots of fun and laughter was had by all.  At first count we have raised approximately $2,000 towards the PCYC Domestic Violence programe and the Rotary Youth Lifeskill program.  Thank you to all Rotarians who supported this event and made it such a success.  A very big thanks to Rob Usher, Trace Dann and David Richardson who were integral in the evening’s success and to all other Rotarians who either sourced great prizes or helped in any way.

 We also had a wonderful visual presentation on display on the TV showcasing all our past events and functions which was ably put together by Phil.

 It was good to see support from Shoalhaven High School staff who appreciate all our efforts in helping their students with our Rotary Youth Lifeskill program which starts on 2 March.

If you missed the evening, we intend to make it an annual event so make sure you come next year to share in the laughter and fun whilst helping raise funds for our Rotary projects.
