Laptops 2 Learn
The three Rotary Clubs in the Shoalhaven – Berry, Milton-Ulladulla and Nowra – have established the ‘Laptops 2 Learn’ project. In the project, we obtain unused/unserviceable laptops from businesses and community in the Shoalhaven, refurbish and distribute them to deserving students.
For those laptops that are deemed uneconomical to repair, we have established a relationship with a business that recovers the valuable metals from the laptop and recycles the materials - a ‘win-win’ for all concerned.
To date we have collected 43 laptops, with 14 distributed to deserving Shoalhaven High School students.
This environmentally aware project that recycles e-waste, provides a win-win solution for the businesses and the students.
